The zoning ordinances restricted small
businesses from using THEIR property to its full extent. These ordinances also,
obviously, caused lost revenue to many local business, not to mention, the City
of Cheyenne and Laramie County.
I
feel the UDC wants
smaller "compact" cities with in cities. The idea is people will stay, work, and
live in the smaller areas. This idea looks great on paper, but has no practicality. A developer
should not have to set aside land for multi-family and business areas when they want
to develop single
family home lots, or vice versa
Some times it take some one to take local government
by the neck shake things up and say lets stop doing what we are
doing.
